Since my birthday is this coming Sunday, Brandon and I took a trip into the city to celebrate. We stayed in a nice hotel on Michigan Ave and here is the view from our room looking over the Chicago river.
We ate at the Grand
Lux Cafe. It was a really nice place with good food. We just wish our bellies could hold the size of their dishes. They give you tons of food except when it comes to the free birthday dessert. It was surprisingly a very good wafer however.
We visited the taste of Chicago which goes on during the fourth of July week. We also visited the John
Hancock building and walked all over up to the Buckingham fountain and up and down Lake Shore Drive.
