Easter Fun

We had our ward Easter party last Saturday and we all had so much fun. It was like a mini Easter Carnival. We frosted and decorated cookies. Brayden liked the frosting and Kaleb liked the cookies.
Brayden got her face painted. She insisted on an apple. I tried to paint something on Kaleb but he wasn't having it.
They played fun games to get treats and prizes. In this one she had to find the duck with the star on it.
Kaleb was a pro at the bean bag toss.
There was a rehydration station while waiting for the Easter egg hunt.
It was almost time to go get the eggs. It was torture for her. The eggs were layed all over the lawn and we were there for about an hour before it was time to hunt.
Kaleb's first Easter egg in the hunt.
Everyone was happy when it was all over. Brayden had her treats and Kaleb had his empty Easter eggs.
(it was at this point that the batteries in BOTH of my cameras died...so my friend Krista snapped these next three.) We took Easter pictures on Sunday. I wanted to take them out among the wild flowers that we have here in Texas, but between early morning church, lunchtime, nap time, home teachers coming over, and other Sunday meetings that we had, we ended up taking them on the side of the house like we always do. But they're in cute new outfits...and they're as adorable as ever. Beware of the picture overload because I loved them all....
Kaleb started taking a few steps a couple weeks ago. It's been so much fun for me cause he's always reaching for my fingers to help him walk. Brayden never wanted our help. One day she just got up and figured it out, and in a matter of two days was walking. Kaleb has been taking his time and letting us help him, taking a few steps here and there. Brayden has also been enjoying helping him. Here are a few moments we caught on tape.

What cute pictures! I didn't take many because I have had a nasty cold. Plus, it snowed here and so it didn't feel like Easter and so I wasn't very festive. Kaleb looks HUGE in his stroller!! ha ha
