Austin Cure Search Walk

We met up with some friends of ours in Austin to walk for a cure in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September for our nephew, Drew and our friend's little girl, Jaylie.
Jaylie and Drew were both diagnosed with brain cancer within months of eachother. Both are now out of treatment and cancer free and that's what the green bandanas are for. I'm wearing mine on my wrist that you can't see.
Unfortunately the weather wasn't that great. It rained on and off but still lots of people came out.
It didn't surprise me though, that when the opening ceremony program began to honor all our cancer warriors and angels, the rain stopped and the sun came out.

Maybe next time we won't buy dollar store umbrellas :)

There is nothing like a baby's sloppy wet kiss. Love this sweet boy.

We had a lot of fun with our friends, especially Brayden and Jaylie.
The walk earned over $70,000!
We continue to pray for Jaylie and Drew that they will remain healthy cancer free!
