A few weeks ago I mentioned how Brandon wrote a book when he was in elementary school called, "Dentists Don't Hurt." The interesting thing is that at that time he never even thought about being a dentist. He didn't decide to be a dentist until after we were married. So when his mom found this book, it was a little amusing.

Once upon a time there was a little boy named Clayton. Clayton was five years old and hated going to the dentist. Well, one day Clayton got a toothache. He went up to his mom and said, "Mommy, I have a toothache."
Then Clayton's mom said, "I think you need to go to the dentist." Now Clayton wasn't too thrilled about going to the dentist. He thought that if he went to the dentist he would be strapped in a chair and then the dentist would take his big drill and make Swiss cheese out of his teeth.
Well, do you know what? Clayton was wrong. All dentists do is clean and fix your teeth to make them look nice. So the next day Clayton went to the dentist. When he got there Clayton sat in the front room. There were a few other people who had come to the dentist also. Then he heard someone call his name, "Clayton, the dentist will see you now." When he went inside there was a big chair, but there weren't any straps on it. As a matter of fact the chair actually looked and felt very soft and relaxing. The dentist wasn't a bit mean at all. He was a very nice guy.
He said, "I hear you have a toothache. Why don't we take a look?" When he was all done the dentist said, "It looks like you have a loose tooth and the big one underneath is pushing its way in."
"If you give it time it will come out all by itself and it won't even hurt."

The next week Clayton was playing and his tooth fell out. That night he put his tooth under his pillow so the tooth fairy would come. When he woke up the next morning he found a dollar in place of his tooth.
That day he went out and bought a lot of candy. By eating all of this candy at once he got a cavity, and then where do you think he had to go? The dentist!

What a great story. You guys really should publish it, or at least make lots of copies to have in the waiting room of Brandon's very own dental office.
