What's New?

We survived the blistering cold of Chicago over the holidays. While still in Texas before we left, Brandon was saying how he misses the snow and cold of winter. I think he got it out of his system after a day of being in Illinios. We had a great time nonetheless, and it's always sad to leave. Here's a little "Brayden" recap of our trip... Brayden loved watching her new friend in the mirror do exactly everything she did!
Brayden loved all the "new" toys she had to play with. It's like being in a toy store when we're at grandma's house. And she especially loved all the attention she got by having so much family around who loves her so much! Brayden instantly took to her Uncle Ryan. It was cute to watch her always want to snuggle with him. Every time he entered the room she had a huge smile on her face. We arrived home again to find beautiful 75 degree weather waiting for us. And this is how we spent our new year.... watching a good movie with Brandon giving me a pedicure while drinking Martinelli's. Come midnight this is what we found looking out from our back yard. The fireworks were flying from every corner of our house....a little too close for comfort. We spent the next hour or so trying to get our scared little daughter back to sleep again from all the noise. After hearing that firemen responded to over a hundred fireworks related fires, we realized why it's such a good thing that fireworks are illegal most places and we wish they were here too. We hope you all had a safe and happy new year.
