April Showers Bring May Flowers

Brandon and I had the opportunity to help plant flowers on the temple grounds this past week. It was quite the experience. There were about 50 of us volunteers that showed up and it was amazing at how organized the whole event was. They gave us some instructions on how to do it. Then we split up in groups of three and they told us each where to go. We were given a drawn out map of how they wanted our flower bed to be planted. One of us read the map and directed, while one of us fetched for the flowers, while one of us planted. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun.

Here is our beautiful work completed... ...well, almost. They were short some flowers so what you see here are a bunch of popsicle sticks marking where some of the flowers will eventually go. Later that evening Brandon and I had a nice quiet dinner. This is how we date here in the Gardner household. Plant flowers at the temple and then dinner by candlelight in the backyard after Brayden has gone to bed.

Also, a few weeks ago we took a fun visit to Sea World. Brayden loved the shows, the puppet characters, and looking at the fishies, but mostly she LOVED the water! She was a very unhappy girl when it was time to go.

I've got a little dare devil on my hands. We went out and bought a harness leash a few days later. I'm hoping it will make our Sea World trips a little less strenuous.

Happy Birthday to our newest little nephew Drew! He was born this morning weighing 8lb 8oz and 21 inches long. Congratulations to my sister Dayna and her husband Randy and the newest big sister, Brooke! We wish we could be there! (for pictures visit here http://www.wardells.blogspot.com/)
