Christmas Alphabet

We've been spending this whole month of December trying to teach Brayden all about Christmas. We're teaching her about snowmen, Santa Claus, ho, ho, hoing, and how he brings us presents. We're trying to incorporate the "naughty and nice" list with the special elf we have at our house that watches us. (I can't wait till that one actually works one of these years.) But mostly we've been teaching her about baby Jesus' birth and why we celebrate Christmas.
This week for family home evening we pulled out her little toy stable and the whole nativity, baby Jesus being her favorite figure.
Afterwards we played Christmas Bingo and enjoyed the Bingo "chips" as a treat.
Then we read Christmas stories.
Another thing we've been working on are our ABCs and 1,2,3s. Brayden likes to sing her abc's with us, but I often find her in the morning after she wakes up singing them in her crib or counting to ten.
Here's a cute Christmas alphabet poem I got from The Idea Door, It was kind of quirky so I just changed it up a bit where I could.
.
.
.
A is for Animals who shared the stable.
B is for the Babe who was layed in the manger.
C is for the Carols so gleeful and gay.
D for December, the twenty fifth day.
E for the Eve when we're all so excited.
F for the Fun when the tree's at last lighted.
G is the Goose which we all know is fat.
H for the Holly you stick on your hat.
I for the Ivy that clings to the wall.
J is for Jesus, the cause of it all.
K for the Kingdom, begot by the feast.
L is the Light shining way in the east.
M for the Mistletoe, so green and so white.
N for Noels we sing Christmas night.
O for the Oxen, some of the first to adore him.
P for the Presents Wise Men laid before him.
Q for the Quilts we stitch to keep warm
Inside by the fire, each Christmas morn.
R for the Reindeer leaping the roofs.
S for the Stockings that Santa Claus stuffs.
T for the Toys, the Tinsel, the Tree.
U is for Us, the whole family.
V is for Visitors who bring us great cheer.
W is for Welcoming the Happy New Year.
X Y and Z , and so it shall be,
A MERRY CHRISTMAS to all,
Where'ere you may be!

Wonderful as usual. You know, by you being so productive, it makes the rest of us look bad... :)
