Summer Fun!

Here is Brayden's first piece of art! She has discovered markers and how the caps actually come off. So far she has done pretty good at keeping it on the paper. Our fridge is soon to be covered by these.

We had a fun memorial day this last week. We endured the already 90 degree heat and humidity and toughed it out at the zoo. The petting zoo was the best part until the goats kept running into her. She stood close by after that. A mother kangaroo with her joey. Here are the hippos. We had a barbecue with some friends later in the afternoon and while playing outside Brayden stopped at the barbecue, put up her hands, and said, "HOT." (She learned that one the hard way.)

We let her play with the hose and now every time we're outside she wants to get wet. We don't blame her with how hot it is here.

I took her to the park to play with her ball and she loved watching the b-ballers. I had to keep her from running onto the court a number of times. Once they were done she ran after their basketball and luckily they were nice enough to let her play with it. She tried to bounce it a few times like she watched the boys do, then she carried it over and stood right under the basket, looked up, and tried with all she had to heap it up into the basket. Of course it didn't make it over her head, but it was cute to watch her ambition.

I caught a frog the other day that was looming in our yard for her to play with. The poor thing didn't know he was about to be made a toddler's playmate...
