Kaleb's Blessing

We had such a fun visit last weekend when Grandma and Papa Wardell and Grandma and Papa Gardner came to visit for Kaleb's blessing.

The proud grandparents...minus one. Grandma Joy was unable to make it.

Kaleb was blessed last Sunday on May 31st. He's such a chill baby. Nobody heard a peep out of him all weekend. But then of course the minute the blessing began he started crying.

I don't blame him though...being held out in the open air with a bunch of strangers in a circle around him. I wonder why during baby blessings they can't be held in a much more comforting postition.

It was a beautiful blessing. Brandon did such a good job.

We all survived the picture taking in the 95 degree heat and humidity. It probably took no longer than 15 minutes but we were all glistening pretty good by the end.

Thanks for all of you who voted on the blessing outfits.

Obviously as you can see the verdict was neither.

My mom brought out this cute outfit that my nephew was blessed in and I thought it was perfect. It just barely fit him. As soon as he filled his diaper it was a little snug but he looked really handsome in it.

Grandma and Papa Wardell stayed an extra day after the blessing so we enjoyed a nice breakfast that their hotel provided outside by the pool and then Brayden, Brandon, and my dad took a swim.

My mom and me chilled along side with Kaleb.

My mom likes to enter pictures of her grandkids in this "cutest kids photo contest" in a local magazine that they get back home.

Brayden and Kaleb were the "Big Winners" in this latest edition.

Brayden has sure missed her Grandmas and Papas. Whenever an airplane flies over us in the sky she waves and says, "Hi grandma and papa!"
